Plantation Shutters: Light Gaps
It's important to note that small variations in light gaps between plantation shutter blades are considered normal due to manufacturing tolerances. These gaps should be assessed with a 4-6mm separation between the blades and not when the blades are fully closed, as plantation shutters are not intended to be a complete block-out product and should not be evaluated as such.
- It is quite normal for the bottom of large plantation shutter panels to rest on the frame when in a closed position. Plantation shutters do not provide complete light block and light bleed between the blades when closed is standard.
